Changes to Long Service Leave provisions in WA
12th Sep 2006
Recent amendments to the Long Service Leave Act 1958 (WA) mean that employees in WA will now receive 8 2/3 weeks long service leave after 10 years of continuous service. It will also be possible for an employee to receive payment pro rata upon termination, after 7 years of service. Though the amendments are effective from 4 July 2006, transitional arrangements apply to existing employees. We can review your contracts of employment to ensure compliance with the new legislation.
